Susan holds young boy while on mission in Rwanda, Africa.

Susan spent 8 days in Rwanda, Africa going home to home making a difference in the lives of the people who live there. She stepped outside of her comfort zone and found something wonderful.

“Seeing what their lives look like really provided me with a better perspective on the world,” Susan said, “They are some of the most grateful and joyous people I have ever been around.”

During her time in Rwanda, Susan learned what it looked like to experience true faith and joy in another part of the world.

“It is amazing how grateful the Rwandans are for things that seem so small to us,” Susan said, “Some of them don't know what their next meal will be, but are still able to be joyful and fully trust that the Lord will provide.”

When Susan partnered with Go Rings to fundraise for her mission trip to Rwanda, she wasn’t comfortable with asking people for money. Through her partnership she gained confidence, and saw how helpful it was to use Go Rings as a fundraising tool.

“I was amazed by how many people were interested and wanted to support me.” Susan said. “Not only did people purchase from Go Rings to support me, but I had people donate without a purchase, especially guys.”

Susan feels more joy in the little things, and now has a greater trust the Lord will provide in her own life. After completing her partnership with Go Rings, Susan shares practical fundraising advice:

“Don't be afraid to share about your partnership and what you are raising money for,” Susan said, “I recommend using social media; Instagram stories were very successful for me. I actually only posted a regular Instagram post once.”

Go Rings loves to hear from partners, like Susan, who Go. Do. Good. Our goal is for our partners to feel confident, empowered and supported to make an impact in the world and in their own lives.
